Controlling water, heat and pressure is key to preventing hair follicle damage.
If hair is wet or even a little damp, applying heat will create a water vapor explosion1── which causes severe damage to the cuticles. Hair is further damaged by repeatedly clamping down on it with too much pressure at a high temperature.
When professional hairstylists use a straight iron,
they control the temperature and tension of the iron with the utmost care to prevent any damage to the hair.
ReFa's unique Carbon Layer Plates replicate the techniques of professional hairstylists
with breakthrough technology to substantially reduce hair damage.
The three-layer structure of the high-density carbon,
heater and low-rebound coating prevents damage from water, heat and pressure while styling the hair beautifully.
